“Singing in a choir, in my opinion, is one of the most uniquely unifying and simultaneously self-developing activities people can engage in! Everyone needs to know their voice, they must be able to hold it in the choir, they have to hear the other voices and together reach a common goal! Is that not the ideal way for a society to coexist? Everyone has their own thoughts, their own ideas, but a common goal!” (Nāgela, Ilze, Interview – Ints Teterovskis will celebrate with his compatriots in Sydney, Latvietis, No. 284, 15 November 2013)
